Boston next week

Jul 23, 2008 09:22

Somehow I've managed to catch a cold, and for the first time in I don't know how long I've called in sick.

So while laying here on my coach I though I'd bring up Boston. I'll be coming to Boston on Thursday next week, and leave for Denver on Tuesday. So if anyone in or around Boston wants to meet up some time during the weekend, let me know.

Some of us soldier on and come to work with a cold.
Guess some are made to be cage fighters and some just aren't.

summer colds are the worst, they're unexpected and fevers with summer heats don't mix.

I'm currently in a Dublin hotel, too sick with a cold to travel and not wanting to spread it among the loved ones out in Leitrim.

see you in Denver!

That's a bitch, Parris. Get better soon!

The main reason to stay home is to avoid infecting all others at work.

when I managed restaurants if they came in with a cold, because it made no sense to have them be sick and miserable and infect others in the staff and customers too. Because the US work ethic refuses to acknowledge that restaurant workers need sick days too, this often met resistance from the sick employee since they wouldn't get paid for the day. But I did the right thing, and you did too when you stayed home.

Hope your recovery is swift!

We don't know yet if time/money/circumstances will allow us to get down there, but we hope to. Is there a better method of contacting you when it is closer to your arriving?

I'll probably read my e-mail on a semi-regular basis, but I'll bring my phone so you could always phone or text me. You should have my number, if not I'll e-mail it to you.
