Bonding Party!

Apr 10, 2007 13:02

It’s not exactly a celebrity wedding, but considering a lack of budget Snowcat and Demolishor have done pretty well for themselves. The words “BONDING PARTY HERE” have been spray-painted on the door in purple, along with a big Decepticon symbol on both the door and the wall. For tonight, the assembly room is Decepticon territory ( Read more... )

A very cautious Auspex's face peers from around the corner into the large room. She studies the scenario for a moment, optics intent, attempting to judge whether she can enter without alerting Snowcat or Demolishor. The latter told her not to come here, and she wanted to respect his wishes... but she also wants to deliver a gift.

She comes just slightly into the room, carrying a small transparent box, that holds something with a metallic glint. She eyes the gift table, unwilling to come that far into the room for the moment. She remains by the wall, optics scanning over the crowd. She sees several people she considers friends, but refuses to move, content to remain until someone (other than the bonded pair, hopefully) notices, or until she feels more comfortable being there despite the clear understanding that she is not welcomed by the proprietors of this gathering.

*Pyro spies Auspex as she walks into the room. Priestess. Allspark. Dead. Pyro Black. Slag.

He makes his way quickly through the crowd, not quite running.*

Priestess, I need to talk to you!

*Auspex blinks at Pyro's approaching form, a little surprised that someone she doesn't know all that well is greeting her... until she realizes how quickly he's moving, and senses his alarm, and urgency. She shifts the box over to one hand and the crook of her elbow, and uses the other to tentatively pat his arm as he comes into reach.*

What is it? Are you all right? *she frowns at him in concern, and no little puzzlement*

No, not really. What do you know about the allspark? Death, being dead, being dead and not staying dead, that sort of thing. *He sounds rather hurried, but not quite panicked.*

*she blinks at him. 'not staying dead' has become more commonplace as of late...* Well... typically, when someone dies and enters the Allspark, they can't return, though some of the very strong-willed have. But, if whatever this relates to, is a recent problem...

Only a little while ago, fourteen Transformers were changed into organic beings (mostly human), by a very strange Machine... and it disconnected their sparks from the Allspark. It's complicated, but there was an imbalance, and... for a little while, anyone who was in the Allspark was free to come back to the physical world. We've had a small influx of ghosts since then.

*She studies him for a moment, before her optics widen* Oh dear... Pyro Black. He was dead, I met him... he mentioned you. He hasn't done anything to you, has he? *she looks very contrite. She should have tried to find Pyro, after speaking with the darker model, but she'd been sidetracked by the dilemma of the Allspark..*

No, I've not seen him. *His optics go wide with emphasis as he continues.* Do you know what he can do? Starscream spoke to him too. Where were you? When? What did he say?

*she sighs, somewhat relieved that nothing's happened... and alarmed for the same reason. Surely by now the dark mech would have planned something..?* I did have the impression that he's... very dangerous, without remorse, and wanting revenge.

I spoke to him when Starscream did -- he was in the Nexus, perhaps two months ago. He... spoke of his violent nature, how many mechs he had killed, that he had attacked Megatron... and that your trine had brought him down in the end. And he was so... light-hearted about his killings, and the revenge he wanted on the mechs that destroyed him; it was frightening. Though, he didn't seem to have made any plans of any type, having not thought farther then getting out of the Allspark and what he wanted to do afterward. By now, I'm not sure.

*she winces at the memory, gripping Pyro's forearm as a gesture of entreaty* Please, forgive me for not trying to find you and tell you... between the ordeal with the humanized Transformers, the other ghosts, and those I counsel... it's all been very ( ... )

That sounds like him. I'm just glad he doesn't know where the bar is. *He shudders slightly at that thought.*

If you had told me, it wouldn't have made a difference. If anything, things would have turned out worse because I would have gone after him. Is he still dead? I mean is he a ghost or... what is he? ...and how can I kill him?

*she looks somewhat relieved, releasing his arm, mulling thoughtfully over his questions. She nods* He is dead... but he's unlike the ghosts I've encountered before. He is solidly substantial... I saw no ghostly qualities about him. His optics were white, which I found unusual, but perhaps that is normal for him..?

You can't kill a free-spark, and you don't want to contemplate whatever magicks may exist in the multiverse that could destroy one, or the people that know how to wield them. That would be more dangerous than he is.

Besides, in his case... I've never dealt with a dead mech that is still corporeal, and I have no idea if he can be sent back to the Allspark by destroying that corporeal form... it might work, but it may also simply release him into insubstantial form, and most free-sparks can still manipulate things in the physical world, with concentration. I wish I had more information for you, but this is not something I'm well-versed with.

Duskwing notices the priestess talking with the guy that ran that bar in the Nexus. What was his name? Primer? Proxy? Piranha? Pyro! Yeah, that was it.

He turns and strolls over to her. "Hey, watcha doing here? Didn't think you liked parties."

*While she is vaguely aware of the general emotions happening around her (and catches sight of two Starscreams --ah, hello Nexus strangeness-- leaving in a considerable haze of rather painful emotion. She can very well guess what that's about, and she offers up a quick prayer for them), she remains concentrated on Pyro. Now, Auspex divides her attention, turning to offer Duskwing a smile*

They have their place. Celebrating a bonding is a worthwhile event... though I wouldn't recommend the "drunken stupor" part. *her optics reflect rueful amusement*

*she glances up somewhat nervously* Although... Demolishor made it clear that I should not come, but I wanted to deliver a gift for them. *she taps the box she carries* I'm a little afraid of moving through the room. I only hope that no one makes an issue of it.

Duskwing stares blankly at Auspex for several moments. "Hey. I could just park it on the swag table over there for you."

*She regards him patiently as he thinks, then hesitates* I would spare you the bother of the telekenesis, if it's too much trouble. But if you'd like... *she shifts the box into both hands, looking up at him questioningly*

Duskwing gestures with the drum of high grade he's holding in one hand.

"Not a problem--'cept I'll have my hands full. As long as I don't have to punch someone i the face, is good." He reaches over to take the package with his free hand.

*she blinks at him, with a bemused quirk of her brow* Everyone's been well-behaved so far, I hope that won't be a problem... *she chuckles softly, handing over the box*

Thank you, Duskwing. I appreciate it, very much.

(It is a small, transparent box, clearly displaying the gift. Inside is a small cup, made of a polished silvery metal, with just a touch of iridescence to its sheen. There are carvings on the rim and the foot of the cup, a semi-ornate pattern, crested with a very small Decepticon insignia at the top.

Included is a note: "I'm unsure of your own universe, but in mine, a bond is often celebrated by pouring energon into a cup such as this, and each bondmate taking a drink from it, to symbolize their solidarity, and their wish to remain together. Even if you do not use it, I hope you will accept this gift, despite the sender. I wish you happiness." It is signed by Auspex.)

Duskwing bows slightly, looking rather solemn as he realizes the nature of the gift. He turns and walks straight to the gift table, dodging around the occasional party-goer with a grace of long practice. An observer might get the impression that Duskwing is very used to weaving through crowds of drunken revelers.

He carefully sets Auspex's gift box down in the middle of the table where it is clearly visible and steps back quickly.
