The oWoD without interesting political subtext, and written by people who REALLY liked crossovers.

Also, wiccans.

As with all RPG's it's capaity to rock/suck depends on who is running it.
the system is fair and ballanced without being too cumbersome. It's setting can be as overpowered/underpowered as you want it to be, and there is a lot of scope fro caracters that are not sterotypes. Though i would reccomend running/playing in a game where you are all members of the same cult.

Is it like oWoD, if you were using something like a bunch of Verbena, or maybe Verbena tinged Hollow Ones/orphans?..or even Hunter's Hunted?

Is it aiming to provide various different models of witchcraft, in the way Whitewolf sought to use all different types of magic-user, or vampire legend?

It doesn't have an aim, per se, other than to provide a playset. It's much more a toolbox than the oWoD.

It's like the oWoD (ALL of the oWoD, not just magi, but vampires, fur-er-lycanthropes, boring cat shifters written by lonely gamers who <3 cats) without, in my mind, any of what made the post-revision oWoD cool. It's a lot better if you REALLY, really dug pre-Revision oWoD material.

But there were various WW suitable themes you could focus on. It became clear on the forums that different forumites were forumites were habitually going down different avenues with the game. There was a lot of scope/variety for people to explore ideas that interested them. How would you define the aim? Me, I'm spirit of the law, rather than letter of the law in my approach. If a WW book (usually a supplement) occasionally said something ewww! wtf! or just plain crazy about history, geography, or the meta plot, I'd just ignore that bit. (OK, I might join in a rant on a thread about it!) So in that sense, we've picked what we needed for games and ignored other bits ( ... )

.... and bork a chunk of campaign I had written for your rocker :P

Is this change for definite? EMail me and let me know - along with the invariable 50 pages of BG material. Also let me know what sort of cyber/psy/equipment stuff you want, and remember this is anime, so don't be afraid to go a bit overboard (I'll soon trim it if it's too much, heheh!)

Sooner the better please! I got campaign I need to work out!
