I got reviewed last night (finally) in class. Not great, not horrible, totally fixable issues. But I've resolved to bitch slap J.K. Rowling, who has made it completely impossible to write anything involving children and magic without everyone making parallels to Harry Potter. My teacher did this last night, I whined about there were plenty of magic

Since you're discussing kids I assume you mean action as in swords or martial arts, not bowmp-chicka-bow-wowwww.

But yay action nonetheless.

Have you read the Lionness books by Tamora Pierce? I re-read them like once a year. Strong female heroine who still has doubts, has sexual relationships with people, has friendships, etc. Superawesome. She also has another series about a girl with "wild magic" who can talk to animals. needless to say I *love* those books although have only read 3/4.

I don't know, but I'm so nostalgic for my old writing electives at R.I.T.

They were so much fun, some of the best classes I ever took.
