I finally got around to watching--perhaps more like inhaling--Stranger Things this week. I had no idea it was so obviously inspired by Fringe! It's basically Olivia Dunham: The Early Years, with a much eviler Walter and a much creepier Redverse. Who knew. I didn't even mind that the kids were the majority of the main characters. I used to wonder about Fringe so thank you! I will be giving it a try now.

Oh, Fringe is amazing. You will love it! I must warn you it does take a season to get to the alternate universe (I assume this isn't a spoiler since I mentioned it in the entry), but the first season is still fun. Great story, wonderful characters, fantastic worldbuilding.

Thank you! I love John Noble and I was interested in the woman who stars in it. I saw snips of it here and there. She looked like a character in the vein of Scully. Serious, smart and flexible (a little? is that possible?)

Olivia is serious like a heart attack. :) She is a bit Scully-like, if Scully had been experimented on as a child and had psi powers.
