Oh, to be able to play outside...

It's just so nice out today... It's days like these that make me think the hunter/gatherer nomad type peoples had it right. Imagine what they'd say about cubicles...

My fancy new work desk phone will give me a weather report, though. Thanks, Phone. Like I needed to see YOU gloating. :p Mumble, mumble, mumble...

I did, however, get to spend a few ( Read more... )

Thanks...I think. Lol...I'm sure your pal is marvelously witty and linguistically talented. :D

What a wonderful picture!

Wish I could say the same, but I'm all wrapped up in "nots" and "knots". :?/

Sigh, I live for days like that. I only wish there were better climbing trees in our area, as I prefer to do my outdoor reading nestled in the limbs of a nice big maple. :)

Also, please "untie" yourself for a while and enjoy some outdoors time.

Oh, I shalhavebeen! I seen some hanging trees, but I have a phobia of ants in my pants.

I'm for a canvas folding chair with footrest sprayed liberally with deet and surrounded by blankets sprayed with deet and lots of those tiki candles, oh, and also me sprayed liberally with deet, oh, and thick shade and a wide-billed sun hat - plus, dunno if I could sit still long enough to read a book...

But that time is comingk.

Aw a tearoom. I had to re-read your bossLADY because I figured your boss couldn't be a man...

Glad you had fun outside with your toes. I just got a massage and a facial last week--we tried to add a mani/pedi, but it was kinda last-minute and didn't work out. I'm not too busted up about the mani part. My nails always turn to crap anyway. I did manage to clip them, though. :-)

Yeah I got on the scale this morning. I was actually, literally AFRAID to do so, and let's just say I had every reason to be. Gotta get myself in gear, too.

Yup, my boss is a lady, and she is very cool. I am lucky to have her. Wouldn't mind a different job, but whatever... ;)

"Glad you had fun outside with your toes."

Lol...thanks! :D I have never gotten a manicure or pedicure or massage or anything... Someone actually got me a gift certificate for a massage once, but I never used it cuz no one would go with me for moral support.

And the scale...yeah. I'm still afraid to get on it right now. I can tell I've lost a little from my upper abdomen, just underneath "the girls," but I don't think I'm ready to look the scale in the eye just yet. I know it's just a number, but it can be such a demoralizing number...

We can no longer be friends! Only four or five pairs of shoes? OMG! How?! I guess I've bought all of the ones you haven't. ;D

Haha! I love Babe! I can't tell you how many times I've seen the first one. Perhaps if you get or give yourself a pedicure, he won't be quite as spooked. ;D I'm one to talk at the moment.

I need to get my butt in gear, as well. I get way too much into the hibernation in the winter... and the comfort foods.

Lol...all I really need is a nice pair of black or brown shoes, a pair of sandals, some tennis shoes...maybe some boots if I'm feeling adventurous... I do have shower shoes...with special antimicrobial powers! That's got to count for something... :D

As I was telling Ms. Pants up there somewhere, I've never had a pedicure. Wouldn't even know what to say if I went to a pedicure establishment to have it done. I am terribly self-conscious about my toes, though, as they are very long. I've been told they're long enough to be fingers...

My butt is slowly getting into gear. I rode 4 miles on the old stationary bike last night, but I think it's time to add in some situps and weight training. Maybe some pushups...

That sounds just like my kinda day...lazing around reading a book. Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice, autumnal day so I'm planning a day long bike ride. Whether or not it actually eventuates is another thing :)

And I'm like you. I only own about five pairs of shoes. The other ladies I work with went to a shoe sale last week during lunch and came back with boxes and boxes. They can't believe that I'm not interested.

Enjoy your lunch tomorrow :)

You know what I can't figure out is where they put all those shoes... With just my 4 or 5 pairs and Jeff's 10 or so, it seems like we have shoes lying around everywhere.
