Okay, so apparently I’m still shit at updating things.
I’m still using Tumblr for the most part, but while it’s a semi-great place to post pictures or interact with people (in theory, but I’m Bitter™️ about that rn, but that’s a whole different kettle of fish) it really isn’t a platform for writers. It has a Read More cut that works great on desktop, but no option for mobile, plus if you reblog an older piece that uses the cut, it doesn’t work in the reblog. As someone who writes on average 1-3K word count fics, I don’t want anyone’s dash getting cluttered up with a huge block of text just because the formatting is being a dick. I’m also fed up with having to wait until I’m home to reblog something, which by the time I do get home and to my laptop, I’ve missed visibility windows, which negates the whole “reblogging so more people can see your work” aspect.
So! I did wind up getting a Pillowfort account that I haven’t used aside from an initial “hi! New place!” post, but what I’m planning on doing is revamping my blog and keeping it only for fannish things. Starting this weekend, I’m going to head into the archives and pull all my writing from Tumblr, repost it to my Pillowfort, revive my writing LJ and post it there, and archive it on AO3 for good measure.
Now let’s just hope I can actually remember my writing journal’s password.
