This is something very dear to me, so please find it in your heart to help these animals. Please ban the purchase and consumption of Canadian seafood until they are protected from seal hunters. Go to the website and sign the pledge!

...Out of curiosity, why should I be worried about seals? They're not endangered, and they're high on the food chain. It doesn't seem any worse than eating pigs or cows.

They brutally kill them by clubbing them in the head and skinning them. Sometimes while they are still alive. Or they will shoot them from far distances making it less accurate of a shot which sometime just leaves them wounded and suffering until they die. And they kill the baby ones too. It's just inhumane.

Not to press the issue too far...but it seems that clubbing on the head is just about the most humane way to kill anything. Bang, and lights out.

Shooting less so, granted. But, I mean....hunting deer in that way is probably just as bad, and legal and not really controversial. I just don't understand how it's worse then things that we normally do.

If you tell me all killing is inhumane, then I guess I'll understand.

Anyway, sorry to clog up your comments. It's just something that's always perplexed me.
