Samusicus Office Logicus [action]

[What's this? Samus doing a normal office log? Yeah pretty much.

She's been a little mopey lately and seeking PRIVATE TIME to work out this residual mope. So any time this week after class-hours you might find her holed up in her office or her classroom with the door slightly ajar, probably working on a huge piece of mechanical what-the-heck-is- ( Read more... )

Sept 10th, after EVERYONE ELSE pitticus September 10 2010, 16:29:10 UTC
Wandering around the school after classes were done, Pit was finally headed back to his dorm, a laundry list of homework and small chores lining his head. His thoughts were dull and unexciting to the highest, so when he heard a faint clank echo somewhere nearby, he immediately became distracted.

It came from Samus's classroom. It must be her! Finding a good way to stall himself from the tedious arrangements he had planned for himself later (naughty naughty), he slooooowly wedged the door open a bit more and peeked in.

Yes, she was in there, working on... something. Deciding she knew he was there, he widened the gap and showcased his presence with a "Hi! I thought that was you making that noise!"

Pit laughed; "Haha, that's right! ...Saaamus, that's not how they look. What is that head over there?"

"Phantoon. A ghost creature with one eye and tentacles." To add scale, she brought the sharpest edge of the crayon to the paper to achieve as thin a line as possible, and drew her own rendition of an angel warrior next to the monster.

"Extremely huge and extremely dangerous... but I think our hero can take him down."

Gasp. That was like the mother of all monoeyes. Pit stared and stared in slight awe, but made way for another grin.

"Of course he can. Look how strong he is!" He tapped the winged stick figure with his crayon. "He's taken on many horrors before; this one is just another floating target." It occurred to him that Samus must have encountered one of these terrific monsters before. She must know what it can do.

"What's it got? Sheer force? Eye powers? Did you fight it?"

"Twice." Samus reached for a clean sheet of paper and spoke as she drew. "It sends out these... spiritual eye orbs and tries to hit you with it's tentacles." Of course the drawing started to take a life of it's own as a scene developed, a great battle, and the heroic stick angel was joined by some kind of robotic looking friend. Her previous project was at this point, completely forgotten about.

"Defeating it will keep the galaxy at peace."

Pit liked this. He liked this a lot. He watched with eager eyes as each line was drawn, casting himself into the make-believe action alongside Samus. What a team they would make. Much of Samus's battle styles remained unknown to him, but he had only a generalized idea of what she'd be like, and she was a force to fear in his actively churning mind.

"And with two of our expert warriors out to protect the universe, its safety will be ensured. Phantoon doesn't stand a chance!

"Especially if I call on Palutena's help." He began to scribble some tiny figures on the side of Justice to lend some firepower to the fray.

It was odd to find Samus in her office, and even odder to find her there with someone else, but the voices coming from the other side of the door were rather unmistakable.

They didn't sound like they were talking about class, so Falcon didn't even bother to knock and cracked open the door instead, peeking inside. "Am I interrupting?"

NO IT'S ALWAYS OKAY icequeen_aran October 31 2010, 05:19:10 UTC
Samus found herself enjoying this far more than she should have, smiling as Pit added Palutena's army of little figures with more bows and arrows. Samus drew a big "X" in Phantoon's one eye.

"The Galaxy is--" And then she heard a voice. Samus admittedly flinched a little her in seat and immediately ceased drawing, looking like she had just been caught in the act of... having fun and enjoying herself.

"--Hello."

Pit had also snapped out of their moment and peered over, catching sight of Falcon- he smiled instantaneously. "Ah, Captain!"

He hadn't been formally invited in, but he was going to ease into the office anyway, shutting the door behind him and leaning against it. His eyes traveled over what was covering the desk--it looked like Samus was working on some kind of mechanical project (which he would certainly ask about later), but that didn't explain what she was doing with Pit.

"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

Samus looked to Pit as if to silently ask if it was an interruption, but from the angel's expression it was clear this was not.

"No." She seemed to visibly relax and slouched a little in her seat. The mechanical project was forgotten about, a trail of blueprints leading up to some blank and not so blank papers with crayon drawings scrawled all over them. Tales of heroic battles and one-eyed monsters.

"What do you need?" piped Pit, still craning over backwards to get a good view of Falcon. "Is it business? Or did you just come for a visit."

"I was just visiting." He replied, shrugging and approaching the desk. At first, he was looking to see if he could garner anything from the work-in-progress or the blueprints spread across the table, but his gaze fell on the apparent...doodle-session instead.

"But if you two are busy, I can come back later."

The work-in-progress probably would have been very relevant to Falcon's interests but there was little explaining the doodle-explosion that happened in the meantime.

While it was slightly embarrassing for the ever serious Miss Aran to be caught drawing crayon monsters she saw an opportunity in this and made a very subtle dare to Falcon, one she was confident Pit would encourage.

"I'm afraid you'll need a crayon if you want to stay."

"Oh no, we only have two!" Pit cried, raking his line of vision across the desk, then sending it over the classroom again. There had to be a crayon somewhere. He went on an adventure because Falcon should stay and draw with them. Then all three of them could protect the galaxy.

"Hold on, Captain! I'll find one for you! There's got to be another one around here somewhere...

"...Yeah! On a chair! I got red!" His arm shot into the air with great triumph.

Falcon raised an eyebrow and pulled up a chair, not sure why Samus had crayons, but then realizing they were probably left over from that unfortunate wave o' babies. He inched their current masterpiece towards them, smiling ever-so-slightly at the adorable drawing of Samus and Pit fighting space monsters.

Then Pit found the red crayon. "I don't get blue?" He mock-whined.
