I must say that Little Richard puts on a damn good show for a 73 year old man. Hell, he puts on a good show for a 23 year old man. The Jazz Festival, on the other hand, needs a good slapping. The show started at 5, doors opening at 3, in the Bessborough Gardens. Fine. We showed at 4, set up our chairs, and waited. Good stuff. The first opener ( Read more... )

I was thinking that I should find out what's going on at the Edmonton Jazz Festival this year, so I looked it up and found out it's practically over. I'm leaving for the Shuswap tomorrow, so I won't get a chance to see any of it, which kind of sucks.

BTW, did L'il Richard do "Tutti Frutti"? Total classic.

Sucks about McCoy Tyner though.

He did perform "Tutti Frutti". Had he not, I suspect there might have been a riot.
