I'm sorry for your loss, and was going to try to cheer you up, but then I saw "depressed" and "when Obama won" in the same sentence and realised we don't belong to the same species. ._.
Yeah... I'm a Republican... but not one of those "he'll kill us all let's go hide in a cave neocon" types that have hijacked our party. I was depressed because my man lost (though McCain was not my first choice on the ticket originally), but it was a fair race. No vast liberal conspiracy. No race card schenanigans (though Sharpton and Jackson really really tried hard to do it). I don't think the man is qualified to be commander in chief of our armed forces because he never served. I don't agree with his platform on how he wants to run america, but he is president. I respect the office and if were I to meet Obama, I would salute and shake his hand (not spit on him, as some of the more right wing whackjobs have voiced) and inform him that even though I did not vote for him, he is still my president.
*nods* I can respect that. I, personally, didn't have as many issues with McCain as I did with the running mate he chose, who has an horrendous track record of cruelty to wildlife and is proof that abstinence-only sex education has a 200% failure rate. He could have done MUCH better than Caribou Barbie, and she's probably a big part of why he didn't get elected.
But this is skirting dangerous territory-you know, the three forbidden subjects? Religion, politics, and computers? ^_~;;;
Never picked up any of their shirts, they did have some rather good stuff though. Amazing how the same people that preach "tolerance" are the most intolerant of those they don't understand or agree with.
I wouldn't say I was depressed when Obama won, but very disappointed of the voting public.
Yeah, like those PC types on the left that preach tolerance, but if you disagree on what their definition of tolerance is, then you are a hatemonger...
