Making progress in singing...when we do scales and I get up there it sounds like I'm actually singing XD; Singing anything in and above the upper fifth octave in songs scares me ;_;.

Faust was fantastic, but the story doesn't really appeal to me...it's kind of very religious, no? The music was amazing and the sets and costumes were just...:O~.

My friend tried to get me to sing opera the other night when a couple of us were all sleeping over. I didn't really want to, but she just told me she knew that I could do it, so I just hit a random high note. I hate being put in the spotlight like that.

I love notes in the 6th octave. High notes are the funnest ones :D

Oh, yeah! I wish I could do those notes correctly, though XD.

Do you know what note you hit? Also, how do you lift your soft pallate and how do you know if you have? It's not like I'm trying to sing opera, but you have to lift it if you want to belt too. Just thought I'd ask.

I don't know what exact note, but I'm working on the F6 in Der Holle Rache.

You know how your throat expands when you yawn, well that's the lifting of your soft pallate. Try looking in a mirror and yawn and you will see it go up. Just take in a breath like you are going to yawn, and it lifts that; you can feel it. :)
