Tutorial requests? :3

May 04, 2008 00:01

I've been wanting to make a tutorial for EGL for a while now, so I'm open to ideas. And since I just found my camera charger... :D ( Read more... )

Hmmm. I think that something akin to Baby's old Swan Lake print would be nice. There are probably a lot better things, but I'm usually not a fan of a lot of the other sweet prints, which would probably all look good on a cake!

Oh that would be cute! I may do a series of cakes if there is a good response to this one. I've seen a lot of people wanting a lolita cake for their birthday, wedding, etc., so hopefully this will be of use.

I desperately want to make a BABY Marie Antoinette wedding cake and an Iron Gate gothic cake. Seriously. D:

Ah! I was going to suggest the Marie Antoinette print too, but I thought that maybe that was a bit too complex or busy or something. A series would be pretty awesome. I have a feeling that they would be well received. That's so cool that you do cake decorating. I always get so gung-ho about cake decorating, but it never turns out as planned for me. :/

I'm all for anything and everything you're willing to share. I've been thinking of taking a cake decorating class at my local AC Moore. I figure anything that can improve my cute skill is worth it. ^_^

A Wilton cake decorating class? I signed up for that myself, but didn't end up going long enough to get past the, "Hello, my name is Ms. Sue and I'll be your instructor!" bit. lol I just read a lot of tutorials, and bought books, and winged it from there. If you need any help though, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm planning on stuffing this tutorial with a veritable gold mine of information for aspiring bakers and cake decorators. XD

No requests for printed cakes? :D

Heh, I get the feeling that this class would be about the same thing. I guess it's a good thing that I lost the coupon then. ^_^

*tries not to sound dumb* What's a printed cake?

Hey, while it's not necessary, I'm sure you'd have fun. There's a lot to learn in this trade (and a lot of tools to buy)! Unfortunately it seems every hobby I get myself into becomes steadily more expensive than the last. 8D;

LOL Trust me, you don't sound dumb - because there's no such thing. XD I just meant a cake with a lolita print on it or inspired by it. Like if I made a cake around BABY's Marie Antoinette print. :3

Oh, and I'm still planning on making that tutorial for the maiko hair pieces. :D I've also come up with my own (ghetto, but effective) way to tie a maru obi in darari style, because Mojuko's tutorial leaves the obi being far too short for darari, especially on girls who are taller. D: Should I make a tutorial for that as well?

Ah! I want a good bloomer tutorial! One that's easy to understand! xD

I'm sure that I've looked for tons more but nothing else comes to mind.

Wait wait, is this only food? XD I'm sorry, I jumped the gun (and didn't even realize that cake =/= clothing).

XD;;;;;; Nah, it's fine. I lol'd. <3

Anyway, for the moment, it's food (cake), and then I've got to make some tutorials for kimono (hair ornaments and an obi), and then I'm up for a new tutorial for lolita. So, since I've got to make bloomers for a coordinate (damn AP and your short skirts. ;_;), I'll find out how to make one, and then make an easy-to-understand tutorial on it. Sound good?

My sewing machine needs more exercise. lol
