Chapter 2
".. I'm sorry." That's what the word that came out of Yuya's mouth.
"What.. do you mean by that, Yuya? Are you.. really have another relationship.. with Chii?" Daiki asked a bit stuttered. Yuya could feel that Daiki's hand was trembling on his hand. Daiki couldn't believe what Yuya had said just now.
"It's started before we met.." Yuya said lowly as he released his hand from Daiki's hold.
"Tell me then." Daiki said after a long pause. Before Daiki don't think that he could heard what will Yuya told him. But, he have to know it all.

Years ago when they're still on high school..
"Yu~yaaaaaann~" Chinen chirped as he jumping on Yuya's back when he saw the taller guy on the school corridor, heading to their class. Yuya just chuckled at his childish behavior.
"Hey, Chii~ seems you're happy now~ what's going on? Yuya asked once the squirrel guy had come down from his back. He could see how happy he is now from his kira-kira eyes.
"Eh? Don't you know? Ryuu-chan will stay here again and will be move to this school~ maybe he will start to go to school tomorrow~" Chinen explained. Yuya seems doesn't know about the news. "He was called me last night. He doesn't call you?" Chinen asked and Yuya just shook his head. Without Chinen knowing, there's a pair of eyes staring at him with full of sadness.
"Want to come to Ryuu-chan's house with me after school?" Chinen asked when they were on the rooftop for eat their lunch. When he got no answer, he turned his head to the taller guy beside him. It seems that Yuya just stared straight ahead, blankly. Then Chinen noticed that Yuya's soul was flying away from his body. Like this morning, he realized that the taller guy wasn't paying attention to the class earlier. "Yu~yaan~" Chinen whispered softly in right on Yuya's ear and success make he's come back to his reality. Yuya shivered while Chinen was chuckling when he saw his expression. "Oh, gosh! Yuyan, look on your face just now. Hahaha. It's funny." Chinen can't stop laughing while holding his stomach.
"You think it's funny, huh? Take this!" Yuya said with a smirk and started to tickle him around his waist.
"Hahaha~ Yuyan, stop it, please! It tickles! Hahaha~" Chinen shouted while laughing.
"Then stop thinking that it's funny." Yuya said as he still tickling the shorter guy.
"Okay, I'll stop it! Hahaha~" Chinen shouted in defeated as he raised his right hand.
"Good boy~" Yuya said as he patted his head when they're back to their previous position.
"Then, how?" Chinen asked, back to the topic.
"What 'how'?" Yuya asked back as he turned his head to Chinen, tilting his head in confusion. Chinen sighed.
"I asked you if you want to come to Ryuu-chan's house with me after school?" Chinen repeated his question.
"Oh, okay. I'll come with you." Yuya said finally. Not long after, the bell rang, signaling the break was over. They then went back to their class.

"Ah! Chinen-kun and Takaki-kun. Come in." The middle-age woman -that they knew her as Ryutaro's mother- said when she heard the door bell rang and opened the door, then saw the two boys that she knew so well.
"Shitsureishimasu~" The two boys said politely.
"Ryutaro is in his room. Just go to his room. I'll make a snack for you." Morimoto-san said.
"Okay, thank you Morimoto-san." Chinen said as he bowed towards the woman and so Yuya. They then went upstairs to Ryutaro's room.
"Ryuu-chaaaaannn~! I miss you~" Chinen shouted happily once he opened the door of the room and saw the guy he miss was playing his DS, laid on his chest. He was jumping on Ryutaro's back immediately d make the victim groaned in pain.
"Yo! Ryuu-chan~ how are you?" Yuya greeted after he closed the door behind him and walked towards the study table then sat on the chair.
"As you see, I'm fine." Ryutaro said with his eyes still focused on his DS, but he already sat on his bed with Chinen who still clinging on to him. Seems doesn't bother at all.
"Don't you miss us? Especially me?" Chinen asked sadly as he took off his hand from the younger when he was feeling neglected. And his question success make the younger stopped from his activity, then he paused the game.
"What do you mean? Of course, I miss you two~" Ryutaro said a bit chuckling as he looked at Chinen and Yuya, then back to Chinen. "Especially you, Chii." Ryutaro added, with a tender smile while patted the other guy's head. Chinen smiled instantly when he heard it. They're stared each other's eyes, looks like they're drown into their worlds already. But, interrupted by the guy none other than Takaki Yuya.
"Ehem.. stop there you two!" Yuya said with an... irritated voice? As he faking cough. Actually their lips almost, ALMOST, touch to each other. Then their reflexively away from each other. Chinen was blushing madly while Ryutaro tried to hide his flushed cheeks, he was scratching the back of his head that doesn't itch at all. Luckily, not long after, Ryutaro's mother knocked the door and came in with a snack for the three boys on that room. Then they chatted happily until late at noon.
"See you tomorrow at school, Ryuu-chan~" Chinen bid his goodbye. Yuya just waved his hand a little.
"Why you don't confess to him soon?" Yuya asked bluntly on their way to the bus station. The shorter guy seems a bit startled with the question and he stopped right away. And so Yuya, he stopped one step ahead of him.
"Eh? Confess? Me? To him? Who?" Chinen asked as he widen his eyes, looked straightly at the taller. Yuya sighed.
"Don't play dumb, Chii. Of course, you're confess to Ryutaro." Yuya's words was thrown to the right place, Chinen's heart.
"Why should I?" Chinen asked slowly as he lowered his head because of embarrassment. His both cheek was blushing.
'Cute.' Yuya thought. "Because you love him, right?" Yuya asked. Chine lifted his head immediately, a bit shocked.
"H.. how did you know?" Chinen asked back.
"You're so obvious when you like someone, Chii. I really know it. It's all written on your face." Yuya said as he made a circle move all over Chinen's face.
"Eh? Is that so?? Aa~ you caught me." Chinen said a bit chuckling. "But, confess? I never think about it, Yuyan. I don't have any idea about Ryuu-chan's feelings." Chinen said sadly. "And by the way, why do you know?" Chinen asked again.
"Oh.. it's just.. ah! We need to hurry if we don't want to miss our bus!" Yuya said, changing the topic as he turned around and left a dumbfounded Chinen behind.
"Eh? Yuyan, matte yo!" Chinen exclaimed as he tried to chase him. When he success for chasing him, he grabbed his hand and made the other guy stopped. "You haven't answer my question." Chinen said, pouting.
"It's not that important, okay? Just forget it." Yuya said as he look to the other side.
"Lie." Chinen stated. "Just tell me. I smelled suspicious thing here." Chinen said as he squinting his eyes and tried to looked Yuya's eyes.
"You want the answer that much, huh?" Yuya asked as he turned his head to facing him. "It's simple.. It's just because I'm always.. watching over you." Yuya said as he started to walk again. Chinen followed him.
"Eh? You care about me that much, huh?" Chinen asked teasingly while holding his laughter as he hit the taller's arm lightly with his elbow.
"Of course! Because I lo-" Yuya stopped his words immediately, palming his mouth. He know he couldn't said those sacred words, at least not now.
"Hm? Because you.. what??" Chinen asked curiously.
"Eh? Oh, no-nothing, Chii. Just forget it." Yuya said as he increasing his pace and made the other should a little bit run to catch the taller.
"You lie again." Chinen said as he hold Yuya's hand and made he stopped. Without them noticed, they're on the bus stop already.
"I said it's nothing, Chii." Yuya said. But he know even though he said that, Chinen will never believe it and he will never stopped to get the real answer.
"Just. Tell. Me. Takaki. Yuya." Chinen said, spelling each words of it. See? He's still insisted.
"Okay, okay. I'll tell you. But, please promise me you won't angry, 'kay?" Yuya said in defeated.
"Angry? Why should I?" Chinen asked in confusion.
"Just promise me, can you?" Yuya said in frustrated. Chinen just nodded his head. After taking a deep breath Yuya said a simple but a sacred words, "I love you."
It's simple words, but it could make Chinen Yuri stunned at his position for a while, digesting every single words that came out from Yuya's mouth.
"Hahaha~ Yuyan, it's not funny, you know? What kind of joke is that? Hahaha~" Chinen said after a long pause.
"What?" Yuya asked, widening his eyes. He couldn't believe what he heard just now. "Oh yeah, it's FUNNY!" Yuya said mockingly, a bit shouted. "Argh! Just forget it!" Yuya said in frustrated. He walked ahead, leaving a speechless Chinen Yuri. At the end, Yuya went home by walk.
The next day..
Yuya went to school with black circles on his eyes. Looks like he didn't get enough sleep last night. And there's only one reason that could make him like that. It's all because of that guy, Chinen Yuri. Before Yuya thought that everything will be okay since Chinen thought all of Yuya's words is just a mere joke. Or so he thought..
"Yuya, can we talk for a while?" Chinen asked once the bell for lunch break rang.
Yuya was able to feel if he was serious. Of how Chinen call his name. he just called his first name. Like every time when he want to talk an important thing.
"What do you want to talk about?" Yuya asked when they're already at the rooftop.
"Uh.. I just want to talk about last night." Chinen said after a while. Yuya was stunned.
"About last night? What?" Yuya asked back even though he knew what Chinen want to talk about.
"Hmm.. last night.. did you confess.. to me?" Chinen asked lowly as he scratched the back of his head while turning his head, doesn't have any courage to looking at the taller.
"Huh? Didn't you think that was a kind of joke?" Yuya asked back nonchalantly.
"Yeah, honestly, before I think that you were joking 'cause I never thought that you have that kind of feeling to me. Gomen ne.." Chinen explained. Yuya just stunned at his place.
"... Yuyan?" Chinen called and he braced himself to see the taller. There, he saw him with a blank expression on his face. But, not long after, he saw that Yuya wanted say something.
"Then...?" Yuya asked after a long silence.
"Ah! About that.. I.. I'm sorry, Yuyan. I can't accept your feeling." Chinen said as he hanging his head down.
"Because you love Ryutaro, right?" Yuya asked though he already know the answer. Chinen just nodded his head lowly.
"It's okay. I can understand. I'm sorry if I said something weird. But, now I can feel relieved." Yuya said, smiling as he patted Chinen's head. "Arigatou." Yuya said as he left him behind.
✴✴✴
"... then, when I came home from school, I went to the park and I sat in one of the empty swing. I just remain silent until I don't know if there's someone else who also sits on the empty swing next to me, and it's you." Yuya stopped for a while and he starring at the person he love so much while holding his hand firmly.
"And then, you cheer me up even though I was ignoring you but you're still trying to cheer me up. I think you're weird. But, in the end you can make me smile and even laugh... Thank you. And I think we'll never meet again but seems God wanted us to meet again. And it turns out we got the same collage, same as my best friends."
"As the time goes by, we fell in love..." Yuya said in the end of the story.
Silence...
Daiki just stay silent. He didn't know what to say. But, there's a question about last night again.
"Yuya, actually what makes you drink until you're drunk last night?" Daiki asked after a few moments.
Silence again...
"Yuya...?" Daiki called softly.
"... I'm sorry, Daiki! I'm sorry.. I've done the worst thing! I know you'll never forgive me!" Yuya apologized hysterically. Actually, in other side, it's a good thing that he admitted his guilt.
"... actually what you've done, Yuya?! Don't tell me... you.." Daiki shouted as he get up from his seat. He cried. He can't believe it even he don't want to believe it. Ever.
