I have to write a personal statement for my application to grad school in three or four days, instead of the month that most people take to do it. I don't really know how to express myself anymore. I get that, too. It's really hard to express one's self verbally sometimes - that's perfectly natural!

As for living in Japan - wow, that must have been an experience! Perhaps you could write about how living in a foreign environment helped you develop perseverance - something quite essential to the study of music!
