More Emotional Abuse

Okay, first some back story. Last Friday, my mother, Tay, and I were all driving to the mall to buy Tay some shoes for prom. Apparently it was my mother's graduation present to him -- kinda cheap, but we were grateful. On our way there, we called Tay's mum to ask what sort of shoes we should get her son. Dear gods... You are heading off to college soon, right? That'll be good; you'll be able to get out from under her control, because that's just ridiculous. I'm sorry she's treating you that way. :(

I know right? I'm really thankful for college, but what sucks is she's paying for it mostly (not many teenagers can scounge 50k a year, y'know), so I still have to associate and socialize with her. Bleh.

It is cold comfort now... but in a few decades, she will be at your mercy, she will need to be cared for in her old age. If you wish vengeance, you can have it then... however, I think the option of just cutting ties entirely once you are finished with her would be both more kind, and more cruel.

At the very least, you must be away from her.

I've been there. It's the least pleasant feeling in the world, and I must say, Fiddler's right in many respects. It will be better to eventually sever, but it takes a phenomenal amount of time and patience.

Albeit, being out of her house and her control is a huge help.
