Dear Christina and Everyone Else in my Shakespeare Group...

Jun 02, 2008 00:36

I'm going to destroy you for making me write all of the mother fucking script for Shakespeare class. All 48 pages of it. Our entire group is lazy and I don't appreciate it. You may be seniors, but that doesn't give you any right to take advantage of someone else. I would have liked some help, since I, too, have lots of classes and probally more ( Read more... )

Considering how frequently this sort of grade-leeching happens, I wonder if teachers/professors don't set up groups so that they all have one hard-working person in them. Because if all the hard-working people were in the same group, then who would step up in the other groups? That's assuming that class leaders have a pretty good grasp on their students' personalities, though. Just a thought.

We set up our own groups. The problem is, everyone I work with is too afflicted with senioritis, I think. Plus, I didn't really want to work with anyone else in my class because I either didn't know them well, knew they wouldn't want me in their group, or else they had no sense of humour at all (and the movie has to be funny).

I dunno. I guess you could claim it's my fault for agreeing to be in the group, but I've worked with these people before, and normally it doesn't end up like this...

I've been on that end before.

You can't just NOT do the work because then you dont' get credit either, and turns out the group manages to pull together some half-assed project last minute. Or not.

So the leechers suckle.

Also? I'd hate to go into a class expected to know how to do everything before hand. See, there's this new thing called LEARNING, that they should try.

You know, before they go out into the real world wher eyou find answers instead of absolving responsibility.

Oh, I know, amen, amen. But, seriously? High school? Teaching you real-world skills? Hell, high school actually teaching you anything useful at all, these days?

How often does that happen? If they actually taught you there, why would everyone need to go to college, am I right?

You know, I would have volunteered to help, but you've become an ass to everyone lately. I don't want to get insulted and put down, so of course I'm not going to want to work with you and help you on the script.

And btw, this will probably be all the work you're going to be doing.
And as far as editing the movie: my :D drive completely crashed. I can't do it. I can't play music, movies, or anything, because my computer can't read my :D drive. That has nothing to do with laziness. I love editing movies, normally. I'm sorry my computer is shit.

And you think I'm particularly fond of all that people we're working with? Projects aren't about what anyone wants; it's about getting things done. Also, last I check, I didn't put you down for anything -- elaborate, please?

No, I'll probally be helping with editting with everyone else. It's less you and Kat that bug me as some of the other members of our group. Namely people who do absolutely nothing at all, cough. I know your D drive's fried, and I can dig it 'cause you're a pretty good actor. So is Cat. But I think our group as a whole is really uncoordinated and sloppy, and choosing certain people to be in it was a big mistake. m just being a jerk, but school takes precedence over being "politically-correct" in my eyes.

Anyways, liek I said, this post is less directed at you as it is to other people. That probally won't even read it anyways. Plus, UI was really pissed last night -- still am. 'Cause, you have to admit, as cute as some people's cats are, they're still lazy.
