So the "economic downturn" seems to be affecting my workplace more now. This time in a more palpable manner. There is a heavy push for sales in a big way. My car is back in it's (mostly) working order again. A month of getting rides to work and it turned out to just be a loose cable on the NEGATIVE terminal on the battery..meh.
