Hooray for my internal clock.

Every weekday I get up at 7am. Tuesdays/Thursdays I've got class, Fridays I've got work for my Service Learning class, and Mondays/Wednesdays my roommate has class. With a schedule this regular, I'm adjusting to it well. I woke up thinking "Isn't it around seven? Why hasn't the alarm gone off?" I check it, and it's 6:56. Great ( Read more... )

Getting to sleep at 5am, eh? I've got the answer for you: less forums.

I might not play as many games as other people, or do as many fun things, but at least I'm always awake and alert.

Heh, my poor alarm clock never gets to go off, because I do the same thing and always wake up right before it goes off. But I sleep in if I don't set it, so I keep it around. I wonder...maybe if I pretend to set an imagininary alarm clock I could convince myself to wake up on time without a real one.

Eh, it's better just to set one, even if you always wake up before it. On the odd occasion that you don't, it'll wake you up. Think of it as letting your alarm clock sleep in, rather than not using it.

Soon you'll do as I did recently. "Oh, it's 7:30. Damn it, I've gotta get up. I'll just go back to sleep for five more minutes."

I woke up at 2 PM that day.

Ah, the university.

I do something like that from time to time. Mon/Wed I wake up at 7, but don't have class until 10. I just turn over and go back to bed, and hope I get up in time. So far I have, but then I go to bed at a reasonable time.

So do I. Here, just look in Jacob's Dictionary:

"Time, reasonable (for bed). n, archaic: before sunrise."
