spice rack

I've got space in the new kitchen which can be dedicated to a spice rack.  I need to place about 6 dozen spices, which right now are mostly in 2 sizes of Penzey's jars.  This is my big chance to have an attractive, well-organized way to store them.  There appear to be 3 basic ways I can go: countertop, shelves, or magnetic.

If you find a solution, I hope you'll let us know: we're up to three spice racks, with too many different types of containers (any time I suggest standardizing the jars, hudebnik says "Why? The old ones work just fine...").

That said, somewhere in the sea of mailorder catalogues might be a company that has filled the niche of the departed Hold Everything (which offered a variety of spice storage solutions). Williams-Sonoma, perhaps?

I think that Williams-Sonoma & Hold Everything were siblings, and it doesn't look as though WS has picked up much of the slack. I spent some time communing with the Container Store, without success. If something emerges, I'll definitely let you know. [And yes, I know the old ones work, but there's more to life, right?]

Magnetic containers with glass-paned lids stuck to sheets mounted on the inside of cupboard doors - a la Alton Brown?

Alas, the cabinet doors are glass ... at least the only ones that are even remotely convenient.
