I'm not lamenting that there's a gay actor, silly. I'm lamenting that my gaydar blipped wrongly.

Just becuase he is gay doesn't mean you can't crush on him silly. I mean, does the sexual orientation of most stars really have any effect on most of us reading this right now and whether we'd ever have a chance to date them anyway? I figure, even if I had a crush on a famous star and she was gay, it doesn't worsen my chances any of dating her. Or in statistics format, chances of dating her : chances of dating her once shes come out, 0:0 :)

Well, actually, it does kind of detract from how attractive he is to me. Part of my factoring of attractiveness includes that remote and theoretical chance that feelings could be reciprocated, however small the chance is. If I'm going to fantasize about an object of lust, I don't want my mind adding in the part where he's ogling the guy at the other end of the room.

Emphasis on the "me" part because I know this won't matter a rat's ass to other lusters, and bully for them.

...Wow, I got way too serious for my little mourning. As I said, I've still got Nate Corddry. :D
