What conclusions do you draw from the manuscript, Jack?

That the Cathedral is one of the City's older buildings.

That some power other than the deities once ruled this place--

--or at least, that people once had a very different attitude towards the powers that be.

These deities aren't the same ones that originally ruled this place. I've heard there were others before my arrival and even during my time here, many of them have been dismissed and replaced.

There is some power to the fountain. Perhaps it too controls the City's fate.

I suppose those support pillars weren't so necessary after all, since they're gone now.
