Well got some good progress on the dragon today.  Here is the work so far.  Now I just have about 1000 scales to do.  AAAAAHHHHH! :)

It's amazing how fast the time burns away while I'm doing this.  Here is some more linework for the dragon pic.  I actually have all of her done but it's hard to see it if I include her entire body.  Dragon tomorrow!

Ok I swore for this one I would not use the bezier curve function in SAI.  The hand-drawn look is so much better.  But lemme tell ya.  LINEWORK IS HARD!  Here's where I ended up after like 2 hours....

I dug in tonight and finished the dolphin picture.   It took forever for me to find the right mix of blues.  Still not totally happy with the blues but it's pretty close to what I wanted.  Will be starting my next CG Manga/Anime tomorrow.

Just a quick update on the dolphin piece.  Here are two WIP pictures of it.  In the first one I have just laid down base colors.  The second one shows the dolphins after burnishing.  They are basically done except for some fine tuning.  Now I have to do the water :(.  Should be fun.

Here is the sketch I'm going to use as a tracing reference for the full color picture.  My original sketch can be seen here

I tried to make it as close to lineart as I could in GIMP so it could be easily traced onto the final paper.  I'll be using graphite transfer paper to do the trace.
