love that caffeine monster drawing!tively_splitJanuary 26 2013, 12:19:03 UTC
It's a bit forward of me, but would you care to make a picture of that drawing? I'd love to post it, as I'm very much like that as well, when doing without too long!
Tea drinkers don't get as much love as coffee drinkers in work environments. When they breakroom at work was remodeled, fresh coffee was brought over a couple times a day but there were only 2 measly pitchers of hot water once a day. At least our coffee machine has a lovely, lovely hot water spigot.
One of my co-workers begs a cup of tea every afternoon, just to help with his sinuses. Especially the spicy herbal chai teas, which I adore anyway.
One of the problems I have found with being a tea drinker is that especially for black teas, you want BOILING water to get the tea to steep right, and often I'll get hot or tepid water, which does not make for a good or caffinated brew. And then people don't understand. >P
I got one of my coworkers addicted to tea (I started her on jasmine green tea).
I didn't know that about black tea. Then I can tell my grandma she is doing it right. :) I prefer green teas, white, and herbal (drools at the thought of rooibos). But it is good to know the correct temperatures (boiling water for green tea=bad!).

Although I really should just clean it up and post it as a proper drawing instead of a photo.

Neil Gaiman has a lovely rant on it: http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2005/06/last-tea-post.asp
