... whenever I need to do the 'social thing', I can. For a while. But it just is such a huge energy drain. Being around those who seem like somewhat introvert computer geeks (like-yours-truly) is no prob, but dealing with those who are extroverts is another story...

I get it. That is actually the reason I started going to the gym instead of sticking around for scribal nights. Yes, there were people at the gym, but I didn't have to deal with them. I could be in my "zone".

Remember the "great coffee incident" a few years back? Mulling it over, it was not the coffee that I was ticked off about; it was coming home to a house full of people. That was the trigger, and why I started going to the gym on Monday nights. It made for a much happier me.

So, yes. I fully sympathize with you. Be happy.
