try something else. is there an outdoor track nearby? maybe you need a bit of sunshine too, along with the running. basta get something that will excite you. try boxing. that worked for me, only i couldn't get that into my schedule right now, so i'm doing the jogging thing at ultra on their professional rubberized track, which is like 5 mins walk from the workplace. rubberized track is cool. so look for something easy and exciting in your neigborhood.
and you'll notice too how your body gets itself scheduled on its own good time - and you know how weirdly keyed-up my body is! basta get yourself doing something right away - and once you get with that first session, and then the next, and then the next...well, it becomes its own habit ;)
oh, and get something with less pressure to motivate you - not like a gym membership, that costs you an arm and a leg and becomes its own mental burden (leaving you with its own oh well mentality)...get something that's cheap and easy access, like rubberized track running for me (only P29 per show!)
( ... )
i walk home from the ferry everyday and take 12 flights of stairs... but it's not enough! my colleagues swim during lunch break. may martial arts/kickboxing/fighting/boxing gym malapit saken pero mukhang hardcore.
sige... let me find "my" activity and get back to you ;p hehe, thanks!
yes, do! all you need is just 20 mins of good aerobic exercise each time, to help your heart. so that's 20 mins of intense activity, but bookmarked by at least 5 mins of warm up and 5 mins cool down, para naman friendly sa puso mo, which is entirely the point too. so it's like 30 mins each time, including tax .)
yeah, and your walk from the ferry and the 12 flights won't cut it, coz a good part of it, you're probably doing it at leisure, not at a controlled, consistently-brisk pace!
maybe joining them at swimming would be fun .) i would, if i was part of your group. just make sure to eat afterwards, not before, of course, because you need your blood in your muscles while you work out, not in the stomach to digest .p
i know it's weird but there's nice running to be had in HK. i like the hills.
why don't you try yoga yoga. ang lapit kaya sa iyo. i think there are at least 3 yoga places near you. yoga, astanga especially, is very physical. you may like it.
wala bang dance classes nearby? why don't you try a street dancing class?
it's not weird at all. people run here all the time. victoria park, the CB sports ground, the list goes on...whether i would do it, therein lies the question.
i know, there are tons of yoga places where i live. it's not so much the availability of options, i just haven't found the right one for me.
i've tried it. it's a couple of ah-bengs in a hiphop fashion show.
ashtanga, we'll see. i've been flirting with the idea for a long time but unfortunately, life aint that cheap in HK. classes cost a lot. but who knows, might give it a go.

try mo astanga - it's the more dynamic version of yoga. it's a hard workout too.
