i just heard a catholic nun say that "as long as you live to your conscience you'll go to heaven"
nothing in there about belief in Jesus in there!

Paul said the same thing. Discuss.

Where did Paul say the same thing? Considering the number of times he said that the only way is through Jesus, I suspect this is quoting out of context!

Romans. The question to ask is how many people follow their consciences?

Sounds sensible...you just have to be a good person and people from any religion can go to heaven. Then again, religion is rarely known for being "sensible," hence the leap of faith that's intrinsic!

Heh.

Sad that they'd call themselves a Christian, really. Obviously never read the Bible!

Perhaps she believed that jesus/god informs conscience, and therefore acting towards conscience is acting towards god/jesus.

Maybe, being a nun, she thought it went without saying? Context is an interesting thing

That's interesting... I know several people whose consciences would, in theory, permit theft, lying, cheating, fraud and, under some circumstances, murder...

I wonder if the nun will expect them to go to heaven too?
