Katie mentioned in her journal that she thought I should update more about my life in general, not just about my degree. So I thought I would ( Read more... )

Awww lovely post :-)

I hope you didn't take my comment as criticism... I just don't really understand the posts about your degree lol so it's nice to hear about your life as well as that.

I don't have many friends either, and I was bullied at school too. I've always found it hard particularly to be friends with girls. But I'm getting better. I can be antisocial and I'm trying to stop that.

Is the 280k house a bargain? That's a lot more than our house is worth and it's a 4 bed detached. We'd like to move somewhere more rural but, as you say, they are so expensive.

And talking of farm shops, we're going to our local one today to get fresh fruit and veg. Steve particularly has a real crusade against supermarket produce.

The Jodi Picoult book about the boy who is assaulted is Perfect Match - it's my favourite book of hers. I saw her do a talk and book signing last week, she's really nice :-)

Thats it!! Its such a sad book!!

No it wasn't taken as criticism at all! I just feel a bit weird sometimes about writing things on here, and never really know what to say. People would probably be bored senseless!

I've moved 30 miles from where I grew up, not that I had many friends there, and thought I'd be able to meet new people & make friends up here, but its not really worked!

Its about the right price for round here, its a 4 bed (the loft is an en suite master bed conversion) mid tterrace with a back garden, 2 reception rooms and a kitchen. Its nothing 'special' but its a typical property round here. If you go to the Pearson Ferrier website and type in Ramsbottom, they are typical properties in my village (house I'm talking about is on Callender Street)

Supermarket produce is never good quality, the meat is also bad IMO. I use a wholesale butcher, its SO cheap! I can get 3 HUGE chicken breast fillets, free range etc for about £2/3!!! Compared to 3 tiny ones, that are battery farmed in the supermarket for £6!

hi since i can't post any sale stuff in thehighstreet, yes in a way i'm selling the pieces in my LJ directly from the supplier.

i have bought a few pieces for myself from the supplier and i might be buying again this time but if you want to as well, you can combine your orders with mine cos the supplier give a low price if i'm buying in bulk. but anyway without anyone else spreeing I will still buying the pieces for myself but I won't be selling them, just that it will be more expensive for me.

if you are interested to join the spree with me, drop me an email at avrilelvina@gmail.com instead of posting it in thehighstreet :)
