An Inconvenient Truth

So I finally got around to going to see An Inconvenient Truth. I've got to say, it's a damn good film. I mean, the science wasn't really new to me and it wasn't as detailed as what you'll get from Scientific American. But for a movie.... Glad you liked it. I actually almost saw it yesterday too, but we decided on Wordplay as no one was really in the mood to be depressed/lose hope. (Maybe if I had known it ended optimistically...) But still definitely want to try to see it soon.

Quite. Nothing deep, but anyone who is that devoted to crossword puzzles is nerdly and weird in that nice kind of way, so a movie full of them is pretty fun. And there're some interesting tidbits of trivia in there (eg. the puzzle on Election Day '96 had a clue: "tomorrow's headline" which could work both as "CLINTONELECTED" or "BOBDOLEELECTED" and then they have both Clinton and Dole talking about it). In a vague sort of way, it's a bit like IC for adults in that it's a total festival of nerds, but in a rather different direction.
