Once I was going to write a poem imitating Robert Frost's style. It was going to be called "Robert Frost is an Arrogant Bastard."
That doesn't really have anything to do with your post, except its title.

I'm not sure that he's a bastard. I never met him. But, I think he's awfully full of himself. I take "The Road Not Taken" as "I'm Robert Frost and I am a poet, which not too many people can be, and that makes me better than you." The first time I read it I liked the sentiment that I thought was there (do your own thing, etc.), but when I got to college and read it again, I noticed that it's not so much "do your own thing" as it is "I did my own thing and it makes me better than you."
Whether that's a widely accepted analysis or not, I don't know. But, it's literary criticism and I can say whatever I want. For instance, Robert Frost was also a homosexual. How do I know this? His poems tell me.

do you remember having to memorize that poem in Mrs. Boswell's class? The other day I was hiking and came across a point where the road did in fact diverge in a yellow wood...and I cursed her under my breath.

Your literary criticisms tell me that you smell like a retirement home. Bwahahahahahahaha!
