Actually, modulo the "Somali pirates" in particular (and the militaristic chest-thumping opportunity they would afford), a year ago I could easily see the US making such an argument. At least given that the US citizen had a name like Abdelrazik.

This year, not so much. But last year, yeah that could've happened here.
