*Jacob had no idea what to think when he woke up in a strange room, but the first thing on his mind wasn't to check the book on his nightstand. He barely even noticed it as he wandered out the door. The place looked like a castle, and that was doing a good job of confusing and exciting him. So far he didn't seem to be in any danger, so there

[Rea's been antsy lately, so she's taken to wandering around in wolf mode, less likely to be bothered that way.

So when she stumbles upon the crow hybrid in the orchards, she just... stops. And stares, for a while. Then she paces slightly closer, not wanting to freak him out but wanting to investigate, because this is someone she's never seen or smelt before.]

*After having some of the apples roll away from him, Jacob has taken to placing them in a little pile. So far he has five. He's not really sure why he needs so many, but perhaps he'll find someone to share them with. Or use them as rations on the way home, however far away that is.
So as he turns to add another apple to the pile he notices the canine. Usually dogs are alright, but some tend to see "wings" as "prey" and...this is a BIG dog. So he stops and kinda grins in her direction.*

Ahha...nice doggy. You spooked me. I'd offer an apple, but I don't think dogs eat them.

[wolvesxeyes]

[Rea can't help but 'huff' a bit at being called a dog, but she doesn't actually take offense and paces closer, sniffing at the apples without actually touching them.

She pauses to sniff in Jacobs direction then, tail wagging a bit to show she's friendly. Rea watches him for a moment, then snatches an apple from the pile, munching on it for a while before swallowing, tail wagging some more.]

*Sorry, he's never seen a wolf outside of zoos and tv before and certainly doesn't expect one in a populated area like this. At least he didn't call her a boy?
Still somewhat tense, he kneels down and extends a hand, so she can sniff, as she nears. His scent would be a strange mixture of human or crow, with lingering scents of a city and beer clinging to it. A lot of beer, actually.*

Oh, well, I would have just given you one but that works too.
Do you live here? Does somebody take care of you, or did you just wander in from outside?

[Yes, there is that. Flynn failed that test. Wolf sniffs at his hand and licks his fingers playfully, tail still wagging quite a bit. Her tongue lolls out a bit, and she plops down on her butt, feeling like being silly.

She's not sure how to answer any of those questions in wolf form, so she just tries to bob her head in correlation with the proper questions. Live here gets a bob 'yes', and the next two get a shake 'no'. Then she howls, prances around in a circle, and plops down on her butt again.]

Hm?

*Jacob raises an eyebrow.*

You understand me, don't you? Oh, wow, that's so cool.

[wolvesxeyes]

[Wolf 'barks' and prances in a circle again, wagging her tail. Yay, you figured it out!]

Guess you can't talk, though. Well, we can't have everything.

*He grins and sits down, crosslegged and facing her.*

Not that I'd know what to talk about, since I've never had a conversation with a dog before.

[wolvesxeyes]

[Rea stands so that she can move closer and then plops down again, laying her head on his knee and giving a quiet 'aroooo', tail still wagging.

She's quite comfortable, buuuut still to worn out to shift back, so you get a happy wolfy to keep you company for a while, Jacob.]

*Jacob grins and scritches her behind an ear.*

So, you live here, huh? In the buildings? I'm not really sure what all these are for, but it seems like they all go together. I guess that's better than a bunch of random buildings that don't match, but its not any less confusing for me.

[wolvesxeyes]

[Yaaaaaaay ear rub; Wolf loves ear rubs.

She nods to the first question, 'barking'. Then she rolls on her back, waves her paws in the air a bit, then rolls over again, tail wagging as she 'barks' again as if to say she agrees.]

*He chuckles a bit.*

I'm not sure what that means, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean you think I'll full of shit.
