So, um, why is there a phone booth in the stables? I can figure out most of these other things...but I'm not sure how to travel on that

[Isabella is actually on the look out of pigeons that were left injured, and not completely dead. She'll not tangle with a hawk on her own.
It's easy to spot wings that were larger than hers. For the moment, she thought it was a trick. The wings were black- her own still dyed that way as a hold over from Halloween- but his were whole and well.
Instantly the bard is moving toward the stranger, smile on her face!]
*Jacob, intent on watching the sky for feathered invaders, misses Isabella's approach until she speaks. He turns to her, his smile widening a bit when he spots her wings.*
Hey! I don't think I've met you around, but I haven't really been here all that long. I'm Jacob.
[Zhaneel had not heard Jacob's post, but she was out and about giving her legs a proper stretching for the first time in days. Sure, she got up and walked/flew places, but it seemed less and less that she wasn't holed up with Aara, in her own room, or atop the Keep walls.
As it is, she's making her way by the stables when she catches sight of Jacob and freezes mid-step. Before her stood a beaing that looked rather like the kyree of her own world, bird-like humanoids with wings for hands.
She watches silently as Jacob handles a hawk, following behind as he brings his latest to the mews.]
You handle them well...
[She had not missed the carefulness he showed while doing so, but he still did it well and without any seeming harmful intent to the birds themselves.]
*Jacob was aware of someone watching him, but since he has a bird he kept most of his attention on it. Don't want to do anything to spook the thing and get his arm even more scratched up. He pauses when she speaks, though, and turns towards her.*
I'm trying, but honestly I don't really know what I'm doing.
*Zhaneel, can you see that joy and surprise in his eyes as he gets a look at you? Jacob does his best not to move and upset the bird, but he doesn't need to hide the look on his face.*
[Zhaneel has the small pleasure of not being very upsetting to the raptors from the Keep mews. She doubted that they recognized a gryphon for a gryphon, but she was enough of a bird of prey that they didn't so much as bat an eye at her. Thankfully the hawk on Jacob's arm seems content to not flutter about or harm him otherwise as she speaks to him.
Her ear tufts flick forward at his apparent happiness at seeing her. Inner lids flick over her eyes and she pads forward to a comfortable distance and moves to sit upon her haunches, wings settling along her back.]
I... Yes, I am... Who are you?
[It's not a rude inquiry, as she is genuinely interested. She's just rather surprised someone knows her before she's introduced herself.]

We have not met yet!
[Hard to forget someone with a pair of wings on their back!]
It is good to meet you then, Jacob! I am Isabella, or IB. I've been here for about seven months.
[She says it before thinking that it might not be the best of news.]

*His smile fades a bit at that, but it only takes him a second to bring it back.*
I've just been a few weeks myself. I can't say I'm looking forward to staying here so long, but I gather its not really in our hands.
*He shrugs, then wipes one of his hands clean of any lingering pigeon feathers (or bits) and offers it.*
Nice to meet you, though.

*Hum.*
I saw a movie once where they traveled through time in a phone booth, but I'm not sure how they started that one either.

*Hm.*
Can't really do much other than make calls with a phone booth, though.
