Last Night I went to see The Dixie Chicks at The Arrowhead Pond. Michelle Branch opened for them and was really good. I got so much grief from friends because I was going to see an all female concert. I am such a faggot and I don't care. I appreciate good music. I don't like twangy country. It just grates on me.

But some country is not like that. The Dixie Chicks are pretty good, and there's several other people that I really like.

Don't worry. Most gay people don't like anything unless it's been remixed by Hex Hector first, anyway.

I don't like the stuff about inbreeding or an entire song dedicated to a horse or pig. I do like the stuff that you can relate to and actually took some talent. There are some very powerful voices in country music. Too bad I can't sing, but I can sure try. ; )

i luv the chicks, seen them quite a few times actually and was at that same show as you... the only thing about country shows are most are sticks in the mud... my friends and i have yet to go to a country show where we have not been told to sit down... whatever ! some girls came up to my friend and i after and told us they were watching us from their section and wanted to be with us as we were actually enjoying ourselves and not sitting on our fat asses like most everyone else... i ended up taking the chicks set list off the stage at the end of the show... figure that was better than walking off with streamers like most (tho i did have some of those around my neck since i was fairly tipsied by the end of the show).

sorry for the ramble... basically wanted to give you kudos fo liking the country and admitting it...
