I think by now I've pretty much made up my mind that Danny Boyle can make anything insanely watchable. Case in point, if he were to lose a hypothetical bet to a friend daring him to make a compelling movie about a man literally fixed in one position for the duration of 2 hours, I'd be willing to bet Boyle would win that bet. Ian, you're absolutely right. I would go so far as to say I'd watch 127 Hours over again. I'm still buzzed off of what a great experience it was. The opening moments where Ralston took off over the flats in Utah was exhiliarating. My own bike is sitting here at my apartment and I can hardly wait to take it out on a field trip this summer.

no you're not wrong. I think the film has gotten better the more I've thought about it. It's hands down the most exuberant, uplifting film I've seen in a while, and it manages to pull that off without being cliche or maudlin. Boyle is one of a kind. Can't wait to see what he does next.

PS--it's high time you rent Sunshine, both for Boyle and Chris Evans.
