It's July 15th and it's time for round 5 of Ask the Maker! here at icon_talkHere you'll get the chance to ask icon makers who sign up questions about their icons and other graphics. You can ask for tutorials, guides/"How to", or ask any other questions regarding their work so the makers can compile a Q&A post with the answers to all the questions they get

I'd really love a (general) tutorial on your colouring methods. your colourings always look so ~thick, like oil paintings. do I make any sense? idk whether I've asked you this before, but here's an example of the kind of colouring I'm talking about:

lucky you! i still have the whole thing! (I tend to edit caps first and then resize them and not save the steps on the cap) ;D

A general colouring guide of sorts would be awesome. Like how you manage for them to be saturated and contrasted without losing out on quality. :) For example:

Hey, sorry I don't have that psd anymore but i didn't do much on it. I only painted in the background and bits of her hair. The rest is all selective colouring i think :)
