Happy New Year,
icon_talk!
As promised, it's time for our second round of Ask the Maker! Here you'll get the chance to ask icon makers who sign up, questions about their icons/graphics. Username and where I post my work: formerly @ lil_art, now @ pure-flames
What can we request from you?: Q&A, walk-through, guides (esp. beginner-level, if nothing else I think I can do that ;)). I can also try for specific tutorials, but my psd's are often incomplete, so they might not be entirely accurate.
Can we hotlink your icons?: Exceptionally, yes. :)
Anything else?: It would take a while (around mid-february) before I could write anything more detailed and long-winded and not just a simple 2-3 sentence answer (blames exams), but feel free to ask away. :)

I think I can do full tutorials on all of these, I'll have to guess a little on the coloring for the first one, but the painted/texture part of it shouldn't be any problem at all. As I wrote above, it might take a little before I can write it all down, but I'll be happy to do the tutorials and will get to them as quickly as possible. :)

Also I am most certainly seconding a tutorial/walk through of

So, contrast... to be honest, I don't know the answer right away myself (lol, what kind of icon maker does that make me??), but I'll definitely try and analyze what it is that I'm doing there and will hopefully be able to write something about it soonish. :)
That icon has a place on my to-do list already - it might take a little while to write it down, but I'll get to it as soon as I can. :)
