Over all I found your icons are a little dark. The faces could be brightened up a bit. The text in number 2 I think is distracting. Number 2 in the the second row looks rather unnatural and unpolished. The croppings are generally good and the saturation of colors are nice. As stated before the only point to work on is to brighten the bases up

#3 could have a little sharpening done, 4 is a little dull also..

your base colors are a little dull maybe play with your curves/levels before you start adding textures?
