The issue you identified with the second one (and it's also present definitely on the third one and maybe even the others) is that you did not maintain the correct aspect ratio when you resized. So, it means that you cropped a rectangle and then resized it into a square. I'm not sure which program you are using, but the way to avoid this problem is to check a little box that says "maintain aspect ratio" or "constrain proportion" or it may even be a little lock icon between the horizontal and vertical dimensions.

Overall your coloring is quite nice; I especially like the the third one's coloring. The first one might be a bit too yellow on their skin. Oh, and FYI, vertical text is usually a big no-no in typography.

Thank you thats really helpful. Why is vertical text bad? Just wondering.
And yes when i resized most of them i did change the ratio. I wanted them to be this specific size.

I guess I should have said "stacked vertical text" not just "vertical text". Text where each character is stacked over the next looks weird because the characters are all different widths (like the i and the t are much narrower than the k and h). It is perfectly fine to rotate text to the vertical position, but still having the letters next to each other in the normal fashion, not stacked on top of each other.

Oh ok. I understand what you're saying.
