That is pretty aggravating.. I have been told that they lose money for every x-box they sell, so perhaps that was one of their plots to leech cash back?

Probably so... Are they really still losing money from the units, though? I knew they were when they first released it (it was the same for the PS2), but I thought they became profitable when the technology in them became not so high-end anymore.
