The Big Bang Theory (Leonard & Penny).

Made with Photoshop cs2 v9.0.

From 
  to  

1- Step one (Negative space).

- Use the smudge tool to get rid of the negative space on the top of the icon.



2- Step two (Blending).

- Duplicate layer.
- Blending options > set to screen 100 %.
- Merge layers.
- Duplicate layer again.
- Blending options> set to screen 50 %.



3- Step three (color, saturation, brightness & contrast).

- New adjustment layer> selective color.
     reds ( cyan -60, yellow +100).
     neutrals ( cyan -10, yellow -20).

- New adjustment layer> hue/saturation.
    master mode, saturation +10.

- New adjustment layer> selective color.
     reds (cyan -20, yellow +10).
     neutrals (cyan +40, magenta -11, yellow -18, black -10).

- New adjustment layers> brightness/contrast.
     brightness +8.
     contrast -9.



5- Step five (textures).

- Set a texture like this  fuzzy one by uncreativ   
   to screen 100 %.

- Use the eraser tool (opacity 50 %) to erase the texture from the faces.

- And voilà !!!
