How to achieve
from

Program: Paint Shop Pro
Steps: 7
Level: easy
Translateable: Yes

tip. If you want to use this effect it's better if you choose pale and bright picture, because 'levels', which we are going to put, makes photo very dark and it won't work on 'naturally' dark pictures. But try to play around with settings and opacities and if you want, show me your results, because I'm very curious about them.

1. layers >> new adjustment layer >> curves. As you see, background is much more dark and colors of Changmin's, Jaejoong's and Yoochun's figures are more visible because of it. On my base this step wasn't required (without using it look like this
) but while making this tutorial, I had an intention to make icon dark. Choise belongs to you but I advise you to put following settings

RGB: 16 > 0

***

2. layers >> new adjustment layer >> hue/saturation/lightness. Their skin will look as if it was tanned in a nice way and of course, everybody knows, that positive saturation causes appearance of more vibrant shades.

master saturation: 23

***

3. layers >> new raster layer. Fill with #3a280a and set to Exclusion 100%. It is needed step. It calms the colors, which at the end, without this fill layer, are are much too bright and person wouldn't look nice - let's say. There would be too much of very vibrant whites and reds.

***

4. layers >> new adjusment layer >> levels. Tuch of darkness. That's the most important step till now. It removes brightness of previous fill layer and leaves nice brown color on boys faces.

RGB: 8, 141, 230

***

5. layers >> new adjustment layer >> brightness/contrast. Doesn;t change much. So you can freely skip it.

***

6. layers >> new adjustment layer >> hue/saturation/lightness. Change only saturation in order to saturade colors.

master: -12
reds: 23
yellows: 6
greens: 12
cyans: 23
blues: 45

***

7. layers >> new adjustment layer >> color balance. It removes brownish shade of background.

midtones: 27, 0, 10
shadows: -12, 15, 18
highlights: -5, 0, -10

make sure that 'preserve luminosty' box is checked

And that's ready product. Have fun ^^.
