ok this was requested by sunkissxthis  at my journal.

we will be making this :

ehh i know this isnt explained too well if you have any questions just ask :)

*i am making this as well as i can because i made this icon about a week before i made this tutorial.*

okie dokie. here we go

ok here is our image:
save 2 copies of the picture.

lets crop it.

i cropped it down to 100x100 and then softened the face. [if you dont know what/where the soften brush is, just refer back to my other tutorials. it says it in there.]

now go to effects>>effect browser>>color balance>>fade correction and click on high fade correction:

now go to layers>>duplicate

and then layers>>layer properties>>screen and set it to 40.

go to layers>>merge all

duplicate again

layers>>properties>>soft light at 100.

merge all layers.

next we are going to use a stamp for a brush by i think it is inxsomniax . please correct me if i am wrong.

i went to image>>mirror and then resized the stamp to 75x75. and then adjust>>sharpen>sharpen.i got this.

copy and paste that as a new layer onto the icon.

erase most of the black around it. or if you want you can just go to layers>>properties>>screen.

open your second copy of the original picture.

crop it and resize it and sharpen it.

copy and paste that onto the white stamp part of the icon, and choose a very large eraser brush and fade the edges.

heh, i know it doesnt look exactly like the first, but i was starting from scratch again >.<

to make the tiny text white on the black and black on the white.. when typing the text in the text box highlight the text that covers the small picture and set the "stroke" to .1 and make sure the color on your colours palette thingy is black:

 sorry its extremely sharp >.<

move the text around, add a brush, whatever you want to :).

i used this brush:
i am almost positive it is by my_wonderful i am terrible at remembering who made brushes. please correct me if im wrong :D

i placed it on the side [50-55 is a good size] for a little colour.

i would ABSOLUTLEY LOVE IT if you would post the icon you made from this.

x if something doesn't turn out right, post a comment here and i will help you and correct the problem in the tutorial

x if i credited the wrong person, please correct me
here is the finish product:

thanks <3
