fade back effect for PS CS2

okay, get your base:
it's a picture of Ashley which I modified, changing the color of hair etc.
-duplicate the base, flip it horizontal then vertical, change the blend mode to 32.
now you have a sort of faded back base like so:
-next add your coloring I'm not going to explain this fully only because the effect we're trying to achieve is the faded back one.
I added a dark blue exclusion layer, a darkish yellow set to color at a low opacity. then I added a brush by (please if you know tell me) and copied parts of the base and pasted it onto it. then I added small text, georgina, 2pt and spaced rubbish out.
you can also do other things, such as copy and image before resizing, then paste it onto your 100x100 image like so:
