Hi Everyone, this is my first tutorial. 'Hope you like :)I did it in rich text mode because Im lazy, dont hate me :)USING PSP9

Chaning the color of certain elements of an icon!

Examples: Go from this:
, To any of the following:

First You take your base

, Then you duplicate your base and Desaturate it. {shift-h}

Now you're going to take your eraser brush and erase the dress area. You are erasing the Desaturated layer, So the red will show from the layer below.

It should now look something like this.

Now comes the changing of the dress color. Its really easy, actually! First, Create a new raster Layer, Then, Find the color you like, and fill the new layer with that color.

Now, With the layer you just flood-filled, Set it to blend mode, HUE.

If you have done it correctly, You should get something that looks like the following:

. See! Its really easy! You can also try different coloring with the hair, or the lips or anything like that! Hope this helped! Have fun!

EDIT: Thank you to ms_cucumber Who pointed this out, in order to get the original color of the rest of the icon, duplicate the base, bring it to the top and do the erase part again.

I'd love to see what you guys made with this! :D

Just some tips....If you want to color something white, You need to make it your first color choice because It will NOT show after you have changed the colors a few times unless you delete the color layer and start over.

[]Textures dont work, They are to colorful to use
[] When erasing, I got up really close to the image and used a small sized brush for better results
