Aged Plum
Sorry it took me so long to get back into making color tutorials for you color combination addicts like me. I was actually on vacation this last week, this tutorial comes from a request by _maybexmemorie from an old batch of Marykate and Ashley icons of mine.

Now this tut will be pretty fast, and straight to the point and it will just kind of tip you in the right directionf or color combinations and layer modes.
So like always, I go grab a picture crop it, resize, and sharpen.
The layers:
Duplicate of layer 1
Softlight 100%
#6FBE57
Colorburn (or just burn for psp users) 66%
#03073B
Exclusion 100%
#A09E72
Darken 44%
#FFA9A9
Softlight 100%
Duplicate of previous layer with same blend mode and opacity.
Duplicate the original image, desaturate it, and bring it to the top.
Overlay 70%
And bada bing bada boo:
Now this varys from icon to icon and I have really pretty much only used it on marykate and ashley paparazzi pictures. I would stay away from too orangey or reddish pictures.
Also please comment with you results or comments I love to hear from you guys.
OH and last but not least, I love working with tutorials so if you guys know of any icons that you would like to know the coloring steps on please just post it, and try to find the close to original image. I will try to get as close as I can but I don't want to full out copy someone else's work.
