Today we're going to make an icon. Yes, it's a tutorial, and I've used Isabel Oli, a Philippine Actress. So let's get started.
How to got from
this to
in PS7. Easily translatable, I'm sure.
1.crop base to a 180x180 img. duplicate twice and set the one above the bg to multiply, then screen 70.
2. fill with #000033 and set to exclusion 70. erase the parts that DON'T cover her.
3. duplicate base, send at top and set to soft light 90
4. take a soft circle airbrush and set to 130 circumference. make a #990033 circle on her face and set to screen. adjust the opacity to your liking
5. take
and mirror it. (I forgot who made it. Please comment and tell me if you own it) slap it on and set to screen.
6. flatten the image. select the image using the marquee tool.
select inverse and fill with #000033 set to exclusion 100%
you're almost there. Take a break. It'll do you good ;)
7. open the 180x180 base again and rotate it horizontally. crop it so only her face is left, and resize to 50x50.
8. make it a layer and select edit > free transform and tilt it to your liking.
9. desaturate it, slap
on, made by me, and set to screen
10. next, resize it to 35x35 or 40x40 and use the polygonal lasso tool to select her lips. make a new layer, choose a light pink color and fill it. Set to color
11. You should have this --->
. Now flatten the image, paste it onto your 100x100 icon, and give it a shadow by clicking on the layer in the palette and selecting 'Drop Shadow'
12. Add text and brushes to your liking. I wrote 'Isabel' in Cobb font.
Huzzuh! You've done it!
