My first tutorial,
by request, hahah.
We'll be going from this to this:

My first icon tutorial ever.
I still pretty much think of my self as an icon noob, so yeah.
Bare with me.
So let's begin?
Here's the image I'm using;
1. So, begin with cropping/resizing/whatever you image, so long as it fits the 100x100 canvas :]
(I'm a huge fan of screening and overlaying, so yeah.. just a warning.)
2. Duplicate the image and set it to screen. Duplicate once again and set to overlay. And three's the charm when you do it once more, and keep it set to overlay :] (I told you I loved this stuff.)
3. It's your choice if you want to merge your layers after every step or not, so whatev.
Now then, make a brand new shiny layer and fill it with black. Then set the layer to color.
This'll give you black and white :]
4. Now take the eraser and erase the apple and nails, which leaves them shining red!
5. Now after finishing off the apple and nails, start on her hair, which leaves it shimmering golden yellow :] Or orange. Whatever.
6. Now you can put text in! Yay! I'm extremely fond of using text brushes, so yeah :p If I'm not mistaken, this certain brush was made by afterglowmegami, but I'm wrong, I wouldn't mind knowing who made it :3
7. For another thing, I'm fond of creating a border, and then (yep, you guessed it) overlaying it, hahah.
So here, I make a 1 pixel black border on a new layer and overlay it :] You don't have to, but I'm fond of doing it many times, haah.
So there's your tutorial!
