Start with your base. Crop it to 100x100 unless you would like a border in which you will need to make it 98x98, sharpen it, anything you feel that your base needs.
I did nothing to my base image.
Exclusion 100%
Color Burn 100%
Color Burn 20%
Multiply 100%
Duplicate your base. Bring it to the top.
Set it to soft light.
Duplicate your base again. Bring it to the top again.
And desaturate it. Set to soft light 40%
Last time. Duplicate your base, bring it to the top
set it to soft light.
Here is the larger finish. The orignal base was a poster scan so it was a bit iffy. =)
I tired to make this as close to orignal as i could. But i'm not sure if i did justice.
