How to go from

PART 1
1. The first thing you want to do is resize and crop your image
2. Next, desaturate it. To do this, go to Adjust --> Hugh and Saturation --> Hugh/Saturation/Lightness (or you can just hit Shift+H for a shortcut). Set the saturation to -100.
3. Duplicate the image. Set the duplicate to burn and opacity to 54%. You may want to toy around with that percentage.
4. Merge all layers. Paste this texture by
gender as a new layer, then flip it upside down by going to Image --> Flip (or you can hit Ctrl+I).
5. Set the texture layer to multiply.
6. Create a new layer and set it to exclusion. Flood fill it with #021C36.
-->
7. Duplicate the texture layer and drag it to the top. Set it to multiply, 48% opacity.
8. Merge all layers. Select your selection tool, then move your mouse over to the color pallette and click on the
bottom box. Move your mouse back over to the icon and click on the dark part at the top. Click Ok.
9. Select the peach colored strip at the top of the icon and hit delete on your keyboard.
-->
10. Paste
this texture by

After you've completed all the steps in Part 1 (minus adding text)...
1. Duplicate the image and flip it upside down.
2. Move the duplicate up a little bit using your move tool and cut off most of the black portion using your selection tool. Then, finish moving the duplicate so that it's up over top of the first image.
4. Duplicate this image and mirror it by by going to Image --> Mirror (or hit Ctrl+M).
5. Position this image however you want it and merge all layers once you're done.
6. Sharpen it and add text or a border if you'd like.
